A new perspective on CLINICAL NUTRITION

Our diet and style of life are known to have a strong effect on certain illnesses, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and cancer. In the case of cancer patients, it is also recognised that their food must be adapted to their specific needs.*

This nutritional dimension, and in particular polyamines in foodstuffs, is the focus of Gretac, the cancer prevention therapy research group, led by Jacques-Philippe Moulinoux for over 20 years.

The group has shown that it should be preferable to control the amounts of polyamines provided by foodstuffs. These observations have led JP Moulinoux, B. Cipolla and G. Simonnet to develop very low polyamine containing nutritional formulas for malnourished cancer patients or malnourished patients with, or at risk of, chronic pain.

These formulas are currently being investigated in phase II and phase III clinical trials.

NUTRIALYS MEDICAL NUTRITION: a new perspective on clinical nutrition to assist health professionals in treating malnourished cancer or chronic pain patients.
