Malnutrition and chronic pain

  • Chronic pain originating from rheumatism, head and neck disorders, muscles or tendons or connected with a surgical operation are situations in which the risk of malnutrition is high.
  • Certain treatments like non-steroidal anti-inflammatories or cochicine may also result in changes to nutritional status.
> The daily dietary requirements of malnourished patients with chronic pain or at risk of chronic pain are specific and they need to be balanced and sufficient.

POLYDOL® is a nutritional programme with a low polyamine content which is rich in energy, proteins and Omega 3, specifically formulated for malnourished patients with chronic pain or at risk of chronic pain.

The POLYDOL® nutritional programme provides malnourished patients with all the required nutrients for a balanced diet (proteins, energy, vitamins and minerals) while limiting their polyamine intake.
